SUMMARY:Professional Engineering (PE) Study Group for the Control Systems Exam (CSE)
DESCRIPTION:For seven years\, in the ten (10) weeks leading up to the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam for Control Systems Engineering (CSE)\, the ISA Houston Section has offered to help members prepare for the exam by hosting weekly study group sessions at a convenient local venue. In this eighth year of the initiative\, Wood has been kind enough to host the sessions at their Thoroughbred building in the Energy Corridor. \nWith a participant success rate of ~80%\, the study sessions are a valuable tool in the licensing process since the NCEES board does not have any official study material for the CSE PE exam (http://ncees.org/exams/exam-preparation-materials/exam-prep-materials/) \nPE Study Group Calendar Weekly Topics:\n\nAugust 21 – Measurement Part I\nAugust 28 – Measurement Part II\nSeptember 4 – Signals\, Transmission\, and Networking Part I\nSeptember 11 – Signals\, Transmission\, and Networking Part II\nSeptember 18 – Final Control Elements Part I\nSeptember 25 – Final Control Elements Part II\nOctober 2 – Control Systems Part I\nOctober 9 – Control Systems Part II\nOctober 16– Safety Systems Part I\nOctober 23 – Safety Systems Part II\nOctober 25 – Exam Day
