This presentation will include an overview of the current best practices in operator training, including a review of varied technologies in play.  We will discuss best practices to leverage various tools for training, understand the differences between various modelling engines, training features and their value proposition and provide an overview of new techniques and technology enhancements that deliver higher training value and ensure “sticky” learning for your operators.  We will also have a demo room open including a virtual reality component; come be an operator for a day!

Vibhu graduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, followed by master’s credits in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. He has 20 years’ experience in training and competency management, simulation, operational excellence, and supply chain solutions for the manufacturing industries.

Prior to serving at Wood, Vibhu was the Chairman and CEO at Ingenious Inc., a software and consulting company focused on oil & gas, refining and the chemical industries (Ingenious was acquired by Wood in April 2016). Amongst the industry, Vibhu has been honored with the “40 under 40” award by the City of Houston, the “Distinguished Alumnus Award” by Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), a “Celebrated Entrepreneur” honor by the Houston Technology Center, and the “Outstanding Young Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2009. Vibhu is concentrated on growth, strategy and business development for the technology focused business at Wood.
