Front-End Loading of Control Systems Modernization Projects

March 6 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

March 6th  (See attached file for location) The room is S5A, but everyone will need to check in at the front desk and I will escort back to the room.

Time is 11 AM – 1 PM

In order to ensure success in Control System modernization projects, an appropriate process of front-end engineering loading needs to be followed.  History, lessons learned and best practice identify front-end development of migration projects to make key decisions on scope, technology selection, construction and migration approaches, and technology change enablement that are required to enable time and cost-effective control system migration and safe, stable transition between legacy and replacement systems.

Brad Bonnette is a Control Systems Engineer with over 30 years of experience in process control and automation, spanning a wide range of process industries from chemical processing to refining, oil and gas production and chemical processing applications in discrete manufacturing industries.  He is a registered Professional Engineer (Control Systems Engineer) and ISA Certified Automation Professional with professional experience spanning technical design and management roles including production facility operations, operations management, information technology management, capital project management and engineering organizational leadership.
