SUMMARY:CCUS Measurement Systems
DESCRIPTION:Abstract: \nAn overview of Carbon Capture\, Utilization\, and Storage (CCUS) measurement systems\, from source to sequestration or utilization including the diverse requirements of stakeholders such as EPA permit guidelines\, pipeline and reservoir integrity\, custody transfer\, and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) accounting\, maintenance\, operations surveillance\, project execution\, vendors and suppliers. \nThere are multiple stakeholders with diverse requirements in the CCUS program. All the requirements are equally important to having a successful and profitable CCUS program. \nThe solution is a combination of flow measurement and analyzer technologies that meet the stakeholder requirements. The solution also includes industry-accepted validation methodologies. Additionally\, participating in the ongoing development of industry standards and research projects will ensure that suppliers and end users are aligned. \nThe development of the carbon markets and associated industry standards are ongoing. This effort has consolidated multiple requirements so that we can work with standards organizations\, researchers\, carbon markets and equipment providers. \n  \nLocation: \n ONLINE ONLY – Zoom Web Meeting \nPresenters:  \n \nAlan Bryant \nEngineering Consultant – Automation Occidental \nAlan’s Bio:  \nAlan grew up in Arkansas and went to college at Rolla\, Missouri. Alan has done several things in several places over his 32-year career in upstream oil and gas. He is currently an engineer in Oxy O&G Automation Team supporting projects\, operations\, HES\, and corporate standards. He is supporting carbon capture and sequestration projects. Alan is active in ISA on the Executive Board of Directors\, the Houston Section\, and multiple standards committees. \nAlan and his wife\, Rhonda live in Pearland\, TX.
