Safety Instrumented Systems Team
Joe is a Safety Systems Engineer for Chevron’s Safety Systems Team. Joe has 42 years of control and safety systems experience in the petrochemical and oil & gas industry. In his current role with Chevron ETC he provides Safety Instrumented Systems support to Chevron’s Upstream, Midstream and Downstream business units and their petrochemical partnerships. His primary focus is SIS support for the Chevron wholly Owned and NOJV refineries and well as development of SIS maintenance and testing requirements for all Chevron facilities. He is the Chairman of the API RP 14C Committee and Chevron’s voting member on the API 2350 Committee.
Joe spent his first 10 years in industry working in the instrument maintenance field and the last 32 years have been divided between the plant and corporate engineering departments. In addition to his role as a SIS engineer he has led the instrument and electrical design efforts for multiple major capital projects in both the U.S. and Europe.
