 SpeakerKerry Williams

More than 29 years of experience in all phases of business, construction and law including legal representation, contract negotiation and administration, engineering, project management and the marketing of large international engineering and construction projects. Graduate of University of Maryland School of Law (with Honors) and admitted to the Bars of Texas, Maryland and Colorado. Practice in litigation of construction and engineering disputes as well as transactions involving joint ventures and construction agreements for domestic and international construction projects. Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association. Lecturer at Texas A&M since 1992 on Construction Law. Licensed Professional Engineer. Former Navy pilot. Retired as Lt. Commander.

 

Topic: 

Mr. Williams will make a presentation on the sources and types of professional liability that  engineers encounter in their practices. The presentation will focus not only on liability, but also on contractual, operational and legal defenses that engineers can use to minimize their risks. Mr. Williams will also discuss issues that regularly arise in engineering and construction litigation.
