Simplified Design Process of a Digitalized Modern High Ergonometric Control Room

April 3 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Abstract:

By using our own developed control room design configurator and based on 20 years of experience, we help companies to save time and costs in control room design.

The outcome will be a flexible future proof platform containing tomorrow Human Factors standards instead of ending up with yesterday’s commodity for a very high cost and that is not attractive to the new generation of operators.

Thanks to the paradigm shift we go from traditional computerized control room to a more modern digitalized integrated 24/7 collaboration environment. It is not just enough to be the best in class when it comes to software and hardware. Humanware is the next challenge and we are in a leading position to explain the latest and greatest in collaborative control room design .

Bio:

Pierre Schäring is the founder of CGM and has 25 years of experience on ergonomic solutions for 24/7 environment. CGM has delivered many inventions that allowed more healthier operators and is defining the future Human Factors requirements in all type 24/7 environments. CGM became 100% owned by ABB in 2015 and Pierre Schäring has been involved in the business development of services around well-being in control room. The next level is now to start an agnostic Future Collaborative Research Center and measure real operator by using the Extended Operator Workplace platform. The aim is to be able to deliver a Micro Health Improvement Environment that should be possible to adapt for each individual operator needs. A natural challenge in the ongoing paradigm shift.
