Harris Technology was founded in the early nineties when Ron Harris was hired by a technology company to implement a contact management database system. Ron was teaching companies how to get closer to their customers even before the term Customer Relationship Management was coined.
For most of his professional career, Ron Harris has recognized the importance of networking and developing long-term relationships. He founded the Houston Executive Club in 1978 and its successor the Houston Business Cabinet, a business networking organization. Inc. Magazine featured the club in a March 1986 cover story entitled “With a Little Help from Your Friends” describing how a networking group could help members develop new business and develop life-long relationships. Harris says that “Networking and referrals from the relationships one develops over the years is a great way to build a solid business.” The networking groups formed a solid foundation supporting Harris in a number of different businesses including a successful consulting practice focused on helping small and mid-sized business grow.
