Awarding Winning Section

Our organization has an accomplished history of earning honors and awards recognizing our outstanding Section activities of providing the best possible programs and services for our members. The Houston Section was awarded the W.A. Kates Award (Awarded annually 1961-1995 and the predecessor to the Section Performance Award) in 1976 and 1977. In recent years, we received the Gold Section Performance Awards:

• in 2001 – recognized for communication,
• in 2003 – recognized for the most points among Large Sections,
• in 2004,
• in 2005,
• in 2008 – recognized for the most points among Large Sections,
  
• and, in 2009.
